As more teachers start using projects, many will grade these projects with tools called rubrics. Rubrics are often used by teachers to act as a guide to grading a project. The rubric will usually set the expectations for achieving a certain score. They can also act as a guide for the student as to what the teacher expects and what information needs to be included in a project. Below is a copy of a rubric. The student can see what is needed to receive a certain score in each area. I will be using rubrics to grade projects for the alternative school students as they complete projects for their classes. These rubrics will be posted in their classes on Schoology. I use RubiStar, but there are many more out there.
